When I lived in the southern suburbs I loved taking the train to Simonstown on hot summer days. The station was right by the beach so I would hop on and hop off. Despite being warned by the non-commuters that the train was dodgy, I loved every minute of it. I could actually enjoy the view all the way to the beach, as opposed to concentrating on the road!
